Take notes when talking to djs to see how they each differ and what they have to offer.
Once you have chatted about all the particulars for your function then start to move around to pricing.
 Be realistic if your hiring a professional expect to pay professional rates. Maybe discuss your budget with the DJ they can maybe then tailor a package to suit your function requirements.
